The Walther family was selected to receive the very first funds of good inTENtions. Special thanks to Tiffany for helping us set up a notebook to collect our thoughts and experiences on this endeavor.
The Walther boys, Jack, Ryan, and Sam decided to split up the funds, with a portion of the money going to the Carmical family, to help in the cost of fighting Declan's cancer. Jack is in the same grade a Will, Declan's brother, so he delivered to money to the family, along with our good wishes. Ryan and Sam used the remaining funds to buy and donate new toys to the pediatric ward of Loudoun Inova Hospital, for the many children who are being treated there both in the short and long term, and going through illnesses like young Declan. They headed to Target to select many needed toys from a list provided by the hospital and then delivered they to the representative at the hospital.
Here are a few words from the boys about their experiences:
Jack: "For my good inTENtions, I raised money for Declan Carmical. The money will help him with his cancer."
Ryan: "This month we went to Target to buy toys for sick boys and girls of Loudoun hospital. We got them barbies, playdough, beads, scrapbook kits, puzzles, games, Sorry, matchbox cars, blocks, and with the rest of the money we gave it to a sick baby for his medical bill."
Sam: "We went to Target to get some toys for the sick kids and it made my heart feel good!!!!"
I think all of our hearts feel good about what is happening on the street! Way to go Walther family! Next up....The Escalante Family!
