Good inTENtions was started on Whisperhill Court with a simple idea: collectively, we will work with our children to help instill in them a sense of community service and compassion while reminding them, and ourselves, of how truly fortunate we all are.
Personally, at a time in my life when I was feeling truly fortunate for all the good coming my way, a neighbor within our small community was faced with the unimaginable. Declan Carmical, a young innocent little boy, was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer known as AT/RT (Atypical Teratoid/Rhabtoid Tumor), just after his 6 month birthday. His story touched me and helped me take the time to be truly grateful for all that I have in my life. Declan's name means "full of goodness", and I find it appropriate that he was a catalyst in starting good inTENtions. I hope the actions of this group fulfills the goodness this little boy helped start.
